DevLog Week 6
Kornelija once again stepping in to spread the news! We are on week 6 now WOOHOO! Got quite a bit done again!
With more thought on the game as well as talked to people and got their opinion, we will try add bushes to hide in from the wolves, as well as possibly have another animal with another type of food it only likes if possible to make more variety! But some of this is still debatable so stay tuned to find out. Our project otherwise is still a major work in progress but I'm finally beginning to see the bigger picture! Let me bring along the news-
------Kornelija-------
This week once again, I decided to spend quite a bit on making the map!
I first of all though decided to add some grass, which I actually took from the Flooded Grounds asset from the unity asset story because they had really cool grasses! (both short and long). It worked pretty great and I feel like helped set the idea of a forest better! But of course, I had to add the bush designs for the players to hide in now too, since it is an actual mechanic that will be in the game, and wow! will you look at that, the forest feels more forest-y than ever before! (added the on trigger collider for the bushes too, setting it all up!)
Next thing I made was the skybox, for now I decided to keep it simple and just allow for it to darken the map because I wanted to try make a lamp! (though I will not lie I did spend a while trying to actually make it fancier but it unfortunately failed so I have put it back for now) and see how the lighting works from there on.
I also made a shack! placed right next to the pen. For anyone wondering, yes it doesn't have a proper floor on purpose! I wanted to go for an unwelcome vibe, as well as make it feel like an old unused and uncared for shack that just has the roof as minimal to keep food and other things (and a window was added but purposefully with no windows to feel cold and unwelcoming) dry!
For the shack, I managed to make 2 barrels where carrots will be kept (that can be grabbed by the player), and speaking of carrots, I made the model and coded it with rigid body and colliders as well as making it be a parent to the camera so that the player would be able to pick up carrots now !
And finally, I made a dirt path! One leading from the shack to who knows where, I felt like having a path would help lost players at least know if they're close to the shack and not get lost as much!

------Max--------
This week I kept my work simple. As me and Korn were working on separate build, we decided to join them together now, and in that came some difficulty on github. But after a while we made it through and my job for this week was to bring all the scripts over from my build to Korn's, and make sure they all worked. With the addition of all the scripts to the new build, I created a path for the wolf to patrol on, since Korn had made the forest with her trees.
I fixed some problems with the sheep following and the pick up script for the carrots and other objects. With addition that I now added a area that if the sheep was led there it would teleport into the pen. We had discusions and decided that if you had to manuvure the sheep into a small pen, in the dark it would be pretty difficult, so the game now automatically sends the sheep into the pen, if it gets into a certain area close to the pen, and is also following the player.
