DevLog Week 14


Hi there! This is the 2nd week now till deadline now! This week wasn't very interesting due to these 2 weeks now being things we are working on polishing!

This week I cleaned up the pause and menu screen.

I also added a credit button that sends players to a credit scene from the menu, this credits to me and max as well as anything we used that isn't ours! This includes assets and audio.

I also drew a battery shape for the UI to look cooler!

Finally, I fixed up the wolf. Its chasing animation looked too slow for the speed it was running at. So I remade it. I also changed the wolfs colour from black to reddish brown so that the player could spot the wolf easier.

This week I added 3 more sheep to the game along with 4 more wolves to make it a total of 6 sheep and 5 wolves. We decided on adding more to make the game last a bit longer and add more difficulty as once you found out where the sheep were you could complete the level a lot faster and it was less enjoyable as you could easily avoid the wolf.

I tried to fix the flashlight light level as i could find out the correct balance between range and brightness. We could have the light go far but if you looked at the ground the light would nearly blind you. to fix this I placed the light source behind the player, as it is attached to the camera movement it would still point the way you are facing and wouldn't create such a blinding light when looked at the floor. I also made the light thinner and stronger. This made it a bit better.
